Hi, this is Mark Kraft's journal. As you might guess, I help run LiveJournal. To be specific, I am the "All things Business" Manager of the site, basically overseeing just about everything that the founder of LiveJournal doesn't like dealing with. (i.e. - most everything that doesn't involve software code.)
I told the founder of LiveJournal once that I was the Jobs to his Wozniak. I'm not sure he appreciated the comparison, but it's essentially true. For better or worse, I get to play the part of the asshole. The big plus, however, is that I also get to come up with some cool ideas without having to code them myself, and I get to help make LiveJournal more successful than it was yesterday.
Works for me.
So, what is my job about? It's all about strategy... and ti minggg. Tim-iiiiiing. Um. Timing. Yeah. That's it. Timing.
So, you're probably expecting to see a big, verbose journal filled with deep thoughts on the future of the Internet and the nature of the universe. Well, I admit it. I do have such a journal. This journal really serves the dual purpose as both a place holder and a mail forwarder.
You see, the answer was there all the time. It took a small accident to make it happen. An accident! And that?s how I discovered the secret, that elusive ingredient, that - spark - that is the breath of life.
Yes! I have that knowledge.
I hold the secret.
To life.
Itself!

Will I tell you more?! Perhaps.
All this and more is available for your consideration, but first, you should
drop me a line to introduce yourself,
don't you think?!
